It can be stored for an extended period and used in various dishes. It is commonly rehydrated by soaking it in water before cooking. It absorbs flavors well and is often added to soups, stews, and sauces to enhance the taste and texture of the dish. It can also be fried or grilled and eaten as a snack or side dish.
