  • 2 cups milk
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar (adjust according to your sweetness preference)
  • 1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 2 tablespoons cornstarch or all-purpose flour
  • 2 large egg yolks
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Optional: a pinch of salt for flavor enhancement


  1. In a saucepan, whisk together the sugar, cocoa powder, cornstarch (or flour), and salt until well combined.
